Parc Mozart

In brief :

Creation: 1995
Surface Area: 13,400 m2

Parc MozartOpen to the public in June 1995, it bears the name of the great Austrian musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Built on the site of the Citroën plant, the parc Mozart offers vast lawns to picnic on and spacious play areas which give an agreeable feeling of freedom.
A waterfall linking a pond to a stream, two hills and a Japanese portico give character to the park that was designed by the architect Thierry Laverne.
The two hills on either side of the central path make the park a distinctive landmark. These hills play an important role in shielding the park from its urban surroundings and increasing the feeling of being in a protected area.
The architect created an optical illusion with the wooden portico at the main entrance.
Beyond the portico, the perspectives formed by the path and the stream alongside draw visitors into the park.
