The IMPASSE DES CAILLOUX road
In 1948, Marcel Bich and his associate, Edouard Buffard opened a factory on the Impasse des Cailloux road to produce spare parts for writing material. This was the place where in December 1950 the first BIC® Cristal® ballpoint pen was launched, followed by other models produced for the entire world by the millions until 2000. The activity of this production facility that employed up to 200 people was then transferred to Montrévrain (77) and in 2012 a portion of the freed land was transformed into a public garden.
